Italian opera with tomorrow’s conductors.

A festive seson finale with Puccini’s beloved arias, duets, choral pieces and orchestral music from La Bohème, Tosca, Turandot and Manon Lescaut.

A considerable group of soloists will perform together with the Göteborg Opera Chorus and Göteborg Opera Orchestra. The concert will be conducted by the up and coming Jonas Bürgin, Kai Johannes Polzhofer and Elisar Riddelin, and will take us all into the summer with our hearts filled by Puccini’s uplifting opera music.Avanti! is the magnificent, public finale to a unique masterclass* for young conductors. In the days before the concert, the three chosen conductors will direct a concert, taught on the Main Stage by maestro Antonello Allemandi, one of Italy’s most successful conductors.The concert Avanti! and the project with masterclass is part of the Göteborg Opera’s continuing work to support a new generation of conductors.
